It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

“When you win, we all win.”
August is Black Business Month, so let’s take some time this month to celebrate the approximately 10% of American businesses that are black-owned.
How can we do that?
stop at your local black-owned small businesses. If you’re local, I highly recommend grabbing a coffee or something stronger at Meadow Blues in Chester. Stay for a show - they showcase a lot of black musicians who are crazy talented.
refer your favorite black artist. See a friend getting married? Send the contact info of your favorite black photographer.
challenge yourself to leave a handful of reviews this month. In a world that can often be filled with negativity, I am trying to make a point to leave positive reviews for those I appreciate. Review your favorite restaurant, the photographer you second shot for, a friend who is starting a small business. Leave five stars and just write out what you appreciate about them.
Like and share! It’s such a small gesture but when it comes to promoting small businesses, it makes a world of difference.
Most importantly, let’s challenge ourselves to continue learning. I recognize that I have a ways to go in this department, but I’m focused on progress.
