So you’re getting married at Factoria…

Let me just tell you that you are in such good hands.

Factoria is among my favorite venues in the Hudson Valley. As a photographer, I have an appreciation for the aesthetic, but as someone whose work centers around connection, there is a warmth behind the scenes that sets it apart.

There’s also the part of me that just really appreciates good food, and misses their steak and kale salad during the off-season, but I digress!

Hello & Welcome!

I'm really looking forward to getting to know you, talking more about your wedding plans, and all of the fun details!  In order for us to focus primarily on that, I'm including some answers to frequently asked questions about the booking process below.  If you have any additional questions or need any clarification, please don't hesitate to ask :)

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am good with whatever is easiest for you!  I have a handful of clients who keep everything organized within one wedding email and prefer to limit correspondence to that, but most are a mix of email and text.  Fast friendships are formed around these parts, and I am the happy recipient of many text updates throughout the planning process, so please don't ever hesitate to send a photo of your dress, ask me to weigh in on something, or just to simply vent.  I am always happy to help!

  • I take a cinematic approach to weddings in both photo and video.  I like real, authentic moments where you're able to see your personalities and dynamic as a couple shine through.  That being said, weddings are one of the only times in your life where all of your people will be in one place, so unless you are adamantly against it - OF COURSE we'll do family photos!!  But I see no reason to make these into an overly posed, stressful, or lengthy ordeal.  My approach to these photos is relaxed and fun - no forced smiles or stiff poses.  I want you all to look like yourselves!

I've also learned a lot over seventeen years photographing weddings, and one of the things that helps with formal photos is simply being efficient.  Prior to the day of, I'll send over a questionnaire that goes over everything I may need to know, from basic logistical information to your family structure and and any tricky dynamics (we all have them).  Being organized before hand allows us to create a list of those must-have group photos so that you don't have to worry about whether or not you got a certain picture.  We'll go over our list as we're touching base leading up to your wedding day, I'll make suggestions for any we're missing, and then I'll finalize and order it in a way that allows us to move through it all as efficiently as possible - that way, we can get you back to celebrating!

  • I bring an amazing team to each wedding to ensure it all gets covered exactly how we want.  My second shooters are all professionals with similar styles to my own, and we work really well together.  They understand my preferences and vision and help me to capture moments that are happening simultaneously in different locations (ie: bride prep & groom prep), setting up and operating cameras on tripods so that we're able to capture important moments on video from different vantage points, and creating a collection of images from throughout the day that compliments my own. Once the day is done, I take all of the files and work my magic on them to tell your wedding story.

  • OF COURSE!  If we've already gotten a chance to talk on the phone, or even just texted or emailed, you're probably able to tell that I LOVE what I do. Part of that is getting really excited about your photos right along with you.  Please send me any inspo you'd like!  Text me photos, send them over on instagram, or send me a link to your pinterest board.  I believe whole heartedly in collaboration, and I love getting an idea of your wedding style, hearing your photo ideas, and seeing the kind of images that speak to you.

  • Once your collection is set, you'll click through the prompts on the bottom to move forward.  There's a short questionnaire that goes over your contact information, followed by our contract which you can sign electronically.  Last is the payment portal where you'll be able to submit your retainer.  Once your signed contract and retainer are received, your wedding date is officially reserved!

  • You have a few options when it comes to payment structure:

    1. A flat $1000 retainer to book, followed by multiple payments.  By default the system will divide your remaining balance into monthly installments due on the 1st of each month, with the final balance due the month prior to your wedding.  If you prefer less frequent payments, just let me know and I can adjust on my end to divide these into 2, 3, 4, or 5 payments spread out.  You'll receive email reminders any time you have an upcoming payment due with a link to access the invoice and make payment.

    2. Full balance paid up front via secure bank transfer (ACH) saves you 5% on your total package.  Basically, I pass along the processing fees (plus a little extra).  If you prefer this option, I'll send you a separate invoice reflecting the updated total with the discount.

  • Yes!  I have really good working relationships with many talented local vendors who are like-minded in that we love our work and our clients!  I am always happy to send referrals for anyone or anything you may need.
